The Starfall Observatory
An observatory on the highest peak, where something fell out of the sky and stayed. Every fight is a puzzle; every puzzle bites.
Boss 1 of 4
Kel and Vor, the Bound Wardens
Two guardians sworn to one oath and one life. Kel does the hitting; Vor does the staring, which is worse.
From the raid planner
- Kel and Vor share one life: every hit on either hurts both. Cleave them together.
- Sundering Oath stacks on Kel’s tank: the other tank taunts him over when it piles up.
- Vor turns his Starlance on a random player: get out of the line between them.
- Oathbreak must be interrupted, every time: take turns, the kick rotation matters.
- Scattered Light marks five players: they spread out. Binding Verdict: everyone stacks on the healer.
- Vor’s Judgement Beam needs four in the line to split it, or it hits everyone.
- Hard enrage at 6:00.
Boss 2 of 4
The Orrery Engine
The observatory’s great clockwork model of the heavens. Somebody wound it too tight, and the balcony railings are long gone.
From the raid planner
- The north and south edges are open: Gravity Pulse throws everyone near it. Brace so you land on the floor.
- Cosmic Collapse: the engine shields itself. Burn the shield before the cast ends or the raid takes it.
- A comet circles out of reach: man the Astral Lenses to shoot it down before it crashes.
- Below half the floor catches starfire: stand on the lit platform, and hop when the next one lights.
- Grinding Gears stacks on the tank: swap.
- Below a fifth it overloads, harder every few seconds: burn it.
Boss 3 of 4
Ysmera, the Twilight Seer
She saw your raid coming a year ago and has been setting up puzzles ever since. She is very proud of them.
From the raid planner
- Prismatic Sight colours everyone: stand in your own colour’s circle when it lands.
- Twilight Bond chains two players: run apart until it snaps.
- Piercing Vision is aimed at a healer: the swap tank steps into the beam to take it.
- Dominate turns two damage dealers: crowd-control them, don’t kill them.
- At two thirds she withdraws into the Labyrinth of Dusk: find the exit before the walls close.
- At half, Dusk Acolytes shield her: the add killers break them.
- At a third she drags a healer and some damage dealers into her dream: kill their Nightmare there.
Final boss
Nhal, the Starving Dark
What fell from the sky: a hunger shaped like an eye. It has eaten the stars above the observatory, and it is still hungry.
From the raid planner
- Hunger stacks on everyone: wash it off in a Starwell before it gets high.
- Void Seep drops a pool that never goes away: take it to the edges.
- Starlight orbs appear: carry them to the lantern to scorch Nhal before they burst.
- A Hungering Shadow fixates on someone: they kite it round the room while it dies.
- Devour Soul jumps to the nearest player when dispelled: spread out before the healers dispel.
- Gaze of the Void hits everyone it can see: hide behind a pillar.
- At half it erupts and hungers faster; it grows stronger from 4:00 and enrages at 7:00.
- Below 15% the Final Famine ramps every few seconds: burn it.
